Please choose one of the following reasons: 1) Medical (physical or mental) -Submit an official note from a licensed physician, including but not limited to the specific duration of the time off, whether it is part-time or full-time -Such a note should be submitted no later than the add/drop date whenever possible 2) Academic Difficulties -Initial adjustment difficulties (first quarter issues with academic, etc.) -Language difficulties (applicable to students who recently arrived in the US or those who recently completed an ESL program), which slow down academic progress -Difficulties with teaching methods -Difficulties with course content(s) due to a lack of prior knowledge *First discuss with a Student Services Advisor and/or Academic Advisor to determine the course load reduction and/or other remedial measures. 3) Final Term -For undergraduate students, a reduced course load may be possible if only one or two courses are left. In this case, you must take the remaining course(s) in hybrid modules. -For graduate students, a reduced course load may be possible if only one course is left. In this case, you must take the remaining course in the hybrid module. *Please remember any application for a reduced course load must be applied before the quarter begins.* *Applications for a reduced course load will not be processed after the start date of the current term.
